I have felt for so long now that I couldn't see Jesus in my current circumstances. I didn't understand why I was going through this time in my life that seemed so impossible, so hard, so overwhelming. Well, God hit me over the head with the realization that I need to cast off all of the current cirumstances and just completely focus on Him no matter what is going on around me.
Oswald Chambers couldn't have put it better:
"If you are truly recognizing the Lord then you have no business being concerned about how and where He engineers your circumstances. The things surrounding you are real, but when you look at them you are immediately overwhelmed, and even unable to recognize Jesus. Then comes the rebuke, "...why did you doubt?" (Matthew 14:31). Let your actual circumstances be what they may, but keep recognizing Jesus, maintaining complete reliance upon Him."
Those words totally spoke to my heart, especially today, tears of conviction and then of happiness ran down my face reading this. Thank you Lord for reaching my right where I am.
It's time to "be reckless immediately-totally unrestrained and willing to risk everything-by casting your all upon Him."
Isaiah 26: 3-4 - "You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the Lord forever, for in Yah, the Lord, is everlasting strength."
Thank you Lord! All praise and glory be to You!

Amazing Creations
My husband and I went 2 days in a row (Thursday and Friday) to "The Wedge" in Balboa to watch these massive waves roll in. They were 10-15 ft, and even reported at 20 ft sometime yesterday. Standing there watching these powerful waves form and crash and feeling the ground beneath me shake from their sheer force makes me stand even more in awe of our Creator. He is the One who holds it all together; the One who can calm those massive waves in an instant; the One who smooths out all the waves in our lives. It brings such peace to know that all we have to do is call upon His name; He is waiting, listening, ready and happy to help us time and time again. What a mighty God we serve.
Matthew 8:26,27- But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"
Psalm 9: 9,10- "The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You."
Psalm 9:1,2- "I will praise You, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will tell of all Your marvelous works. I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High."
These are a few pictures from the 2 days we were there (The last one we actually have on video, but the resolution is bad since it was from our phone. Found a picture of it though. Poor guy, I'm sure it hurt). Enjoy.
